Wildlife Vacation in Penang National Park (Malaysia)
Pinang or Penang Islang is a state of Malaysia which lies on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Although included in the list of the smallest state, Pinang Islang actually said as the the most advanced and richest state in Malaysia.
In Penang there are some pretty interesting tourist attraction to visit, one of them is “Taman Negara Pulau Penang” (Penang National Park) . Penang National Park is the smallest national park in the world, was once known as the Aceh coast Forest Reserve, and then, in 2003 by the Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi declared as a national park.
When coming here, tourists can enjoy and feels the living exsistence of wild natural life. the main attraction of this park is the collection of habitats that can not be found in other national parks in Malaysia, such as meromictic lake, wetlands, mangroves, coral reefs and turtle nesting beaches. Many species of flora and fauna (which can be fairly rare and endangered) growing here like green turtles, flying squirrels, lemurs and more than 100 species of birds, one of them is white-bellied Sea Eagle.
Meromictic lake in Penang National Park is one of the 24 lakes in the world that has layers of water that do not intermix. in the meromictic lake, the lake water layer remains not mixed over the years, decades, even centuries.
There are eight beautiful beaches in Penang national parks, namely: Teluk Bahang, Teluk Tukun, Tanjung Aling, Teluk Duyung (Monkey Beach), Teluk Ketapang, Kerachut Coast, Teluk Kampi and Mas Beach. Here you will really amazed with views of the beach, there are some half-tame monkeys that you can find here.
