Chateu de Versailles or Palace of Versailles is one of the most visited tourist attraction in Paris. The magnificent palace of Versailles was the work of one and a half century commissioned by the French kings to their famous artists. Versailles was the main residence of the French kings from Louis XIV to Louis XVI (1682-1789).

Inside the Versailles palace there are many luxurious rooms for king and queen. Bedroom of king Louis XIV located on the top floor with a strategic position located in the middle of the building. In another room we also can find a great room contains original paintings depicting historical stories, such as French war, napoleon, painting of king, etc.

To get into the versailles palace, we have to stand on a long queue because there are so many foreign tourists from all over the country who come to visit this amazing place. before entering the palace we will cross the statue of Louis XIV on horseback.

Beside the Palace, Versailles also has a very interesting landscape, it’s the garden. The Garden is part of Versailles palace and it is located west of the palace. Versailles park is one of the largest royal park in the world (about 100 acres). Because of its magnificent and luxurious beauty UNESCO has announced Versailles Palace and Park as the World Heritage Site in 1979.

Versailles park is one of the best park in the world. Represents the beauty and splendor of the French nation to the 17th and 18th century, this park has at least 50 fountains and 200,000 trees. The park consists of hundreds of various plant types of colorful flowers, there spread fountains in some parts, ponds, and beautiful statues. In the middle of the park there are many restaurants as well as public toilets. Since it is very wide, one day trip will never be enough to enjoy Versailles Park and Palace from corner to corner.

Versailles location

The location is a bit far, southwest of Paris. To get there we can use the train and get off at the station de Versailles Rive Gauche. From the station we need to go on foot to be able to reach the versailles palace. along the road to Versailles, we will find shady trees and also souvenir shops, so we will not feel bored and tired of walking.
