People call it as the Forbidden City because of the prohibition for outsiders to enter the location of the palace, the site is a residence for the Emperor of China in the era of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Only kings and relatives as well as special guests were allowed into the area.
Forbidden City located in central Beijing, China and covers an area of approximately 72 hectares with a total floor area of about 150,000 square meters and consists 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8704 rooms. Forbidden City is composed of 9 zones that each region bounded by a separator in the form of a large yard. Best quality Marble stones decorate the entire room in the building Forbidden City.
Now the palace has been opened by the Chinese government as a Palace Museum, and it is the most favourite tourism spot in Beijing. Every day thousands of people come to visit the Forbidden City. In 1987 the Forbidden City was nominated as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO.
