Second, no animals are allowed entering the festival ground. If you think of bringing your children along, please note that small children should be put on pushchairs and the pushchairs will be checked by security staff. However, pushchairs are not allowed during Saturday and public holiday to celebrate the Day of German Unity. Third, no visitors are allowed entering the Oktoberfest festival in Munich from 1.30 a.m. to 8 a.m.

It was first held in 1810 to honor the marriage of Bavarian Crown Prince named Ludwig’s to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen. When it was first held, it was only for 5 days. During the festival, the beer serving hours is started at 12.00 a.m to 10.30 p.m. And during the weekdays, it’s open a bit earlier from 10.00 a.m to 10.30 p.m. During weekends and holiday, it’s started from 09.00 a.m to 10.30 pm. particularly for the closing house, it’s started from 12.30 a.m to 1.00 a.m.

Another great thing about this festival is that it doesn’t require you to pay the entrance fee. It’s all fee including for the beer-tents. However, keep in mind that this is the most popular festival in the end of year. So, make sure to make a reservation first by contacting respective beer tent.
