Luzern city landmark is ‘The Chapel’ which was built in the 14th century. This Europe’s oldest wooden bridge was once used to cross the lake Luzern. The Chapel is an old bridge that still looks intact and seemingly never deterred despite its support pillars and the foundation has been submerged in water for hundreds of years. In this beautiful bridge there are many paintings telling historical events of Luzern. Many tourists directs his eyes to the old beautiful paintings , many tourists also focus on the beauty of Lake Reuss and the Alpen scenery covered with eternal snow. In the middle of the lake adjacent to the bridge there is a old water tower or Wasserturm that has been there since the 13th century. The Water tower building is square shaped with six rectangular prism-shaped roof that have sharp edges. Lake Luzern and its chapel bridge is very clean, Near the lake there many places to sit, playground area, shopping centers, cafes and restaurants, museums, and the train station.
Other location that deserve a visit is the monument Löwendenkmal or the Lion monument. This masterpiece is the work of a famous architect Bertel Thorvaldsen. The monument located on a small park in the region Lowenplatz. The monument depicts a dead lion rests on two pieces of armor. Lowendenkmal lion monument tells the story of a dying lion, Created in a small park at south of Lake Lucerne, This monument carved to commemorate hundreds of Swiss army that got massacred in 1792 during the French Revolution.
