Kinkakuji Temple – Kyoto is the old capital of Japan located on the island of Honshu. Kinkakuji Temple is the most popular attractions of Kyoto. Kinkakuji Temple also known as Rokuon-ji Temple or Temple of Rokuon. This temple was built by Ashikaga clan by the Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, precisely, long before the days of Edo and the Meiji Restoration.
Kinkakuji Temple is the image of an magnificent ancient Pavilion, it is so unique and arranged in an amazing functional art of architecture. Kinkakuji temple itself consists of 3 floors, 2 above floors is entirely coated by gold paper. On the day of bright gold paper will reflect the Sun’s rays perfectly, making it shine. Keep in mind, we can only see the temple from the Road around the lake, visitors can’t get into the temple building.
The first floor is called Shinden-zukuri, Palace type room named Ho-sui-in. the second floor is Buke-zukuri, type home of Samurai named Cho-on-do. The third floor is the Karayo or Zen-style called Kukkyo-cho. On the roof of the Temple of Kinkakuji There is a picture of a phoenix which is considered originate from China. Kinkakuji Temple is truly a work of art that worth to made as a mortal site site to recall the triumph of ancient time.
To reach the Temple of Kinkakuji, you can directly go to Kyoto station. From Kyoto station, you can take a bus on line B2 with the number 204 or 205. This bus tours will go around the city of Kyoto by passing many beautiful sights.
The cost to ride the tour bus is around 250 yen. The bus will stop at Kinkakujimae (in front of Kinkakuji). From bus stop, we should take a walk to get into the counter of Kinkakuji temple.
