Luxor, could be the most famous tourist city in Egypt. There are so many temples can be seen. One of the biggest is Karnak temple. We came here after traveling from Victoria Falls – the most famous river in Africa: Aswan to Luxor using a ship down the river Nile, Nile Cruize.
While sun burn our head, we got to Karnak Temple. The temple is crowded by foreign tourists, I simply amazed because the size of the buildings, giant pilars and i feels like i’m a very little man.

In front of the gate, we are greeted by a statue of the lion-headed goat. The lion is a symbol of strength, while the goat symbol of purity. Once inside the temple, do not be confused, because it will be a lot of Egyptians who volunteered to be a guide. We may not need a guide, just buy a book for history of Karnak temple.

Ancient Egyptian beliefs undergone a revolution during Amenhotep III, when prophet Joseph became ruling here. The king, influenced by the beliefs of the Prophet Yusuf, change the trust from polytheism to monotheism. Belief in many gods transformed to believe in one God, the Aten. And the name of the king was changed, from Amenhotep (son of God) into Akhn-Aten (servant of God, Aten).
