Hikone Castle – Amazing Castle of Edo Period (Japan)
Hikone is one of four castles designated as a national treasure of Japan, along with Himeji castle, Matsumoto Castle and Fortress Inuyama. Hikone castle is the most famous historic sites in Hikone that located in Shiga Prefecture region, Japan.
Hikone Castle was firstly built in 1575, as part of the Otsu castle, and then moved to Hikone by the Li clan. Other part of this castle was transferred to the castle of Nagahama. In 1622, the castle finally perfectly completed. The castle is one of remaining relic of history and survived until now from the Meiji period.
