Turning Torso is an extraordinary skyscraper in Malmö, Sweden, located in the Öresund strait. Turning Torso is a work of Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Turning Torso is the tallest skyscraper in Sweden, it is an apartment with 54 floors and a total height of 179 m. One thing that makes the Turning Torso building so famous is its design. The Turning Torso shape is like twisted building from the bottom to the top. of course it was not easy both for the architech and the workers to built this amazing building. The building is one of most imposible building ever built. The construction of Turning Torso ever documented by the Discovery Channel entitled “Extreme Engineering”.

The Turning Torso tower officially opened on 27 August 2005. The design is inspired by the sculptures by Santiago Calatrava called Twisting Torso. One reason why building Turning Torso is because City of Malmo needs an icon for the City.
