Princes Street Gardens is a public valley area that is surrounded by Edinburgh Castle in the north and Princes Street Edinburgh in the south. This Garden has three parts. This street garden is a place that separates the Edinburgh’s Old and New Town and also it is such a complement area for those main buildings in this city. Nowadays, this area which is known as Princes Street Gardens was had renovation in several times. The original condition of the street garden is just a simple and natural valley that was excavated this rock of castle from glaciers in the north area. These glaciers moved from the west area to the east where the path was moved. The ‘spine’ and ‘tail’ on the Royal Mile building was created from the glacial phenomenon that happened there. This phenomenon also created some paths that can bring you to the castle rock in the south area. The Edinburgh’s Old Town becomes the one of the most populated cities in the world in the mid-age eras. The area extends the ways down this Royal Mile. In the southern, the slopes were widened down by the city to form the Cowgate and Grassmarket. Now, the New Town in the Leith’s edge was opened in the north part of this street garden valley.

However, this garden was created after having draining process in a long time in around 1820s. The Princes Street’s is surrounded by the large green space beautifully. The Prince Street is the Edinburgh’ Main Street for shopping and it is divided in two places by Mound which is a place of artificial hill. The two places are in the East and the West, that the west are the biggest than the another one.

You will find so many attractions in this Princes Street Gardens. In the west, there is a floral clock that has the attractive display which is made from many and various plants. You may see the timepiece that was planted in 1900s and it becomes the oldest floral clock. There are many clock types that you can see, from the clock hands and wall clock that has made from flowers. Once you got there, the Ross Fountain is the best places that you should visit. It represents the beautiful arts and poetry while still having the smart science sense in every inch of the sculptures.
