Casa Batllo, the Astonishing Masterpiece of Architecture
You cannot say that you have visited Barcelona if you do not visit Casa Batllo. The first thing that you will experience the moment you come to that place is the long queue outside the building. So what kind of place is it? Located in the heart of Barcelona, it is the famous building designed by Antoni Gaudi. Gaudi redesigned the building in 1904 and it has been considered as one of his masterpieces until now. Gaudi himself is very popular in Barcelona and known for his modernism architecture style. The origin of the name was from Josep Batllo who used to live in the building with his family.
It is so obvious that Mediterranean Sea and nature were inspiring Gaudi in the designation of Casa Battlo because the building is dominated by the blue shades. In addition, if you examine the exterior design, the pillars of the window resemble the shape of bones while the windows really look like open mouths. That is why the building has other names such as The House of Yawns and The House of Bones. The arched roof will also remind you of the back of a dragon.
