Located in India, Cave Rock of Ajanta is unique compared to other caves around the world. This cave was built as a symbol and witness the civilized world in the second century BC. This cave believed to be built because of the influence of Chinese Buddhist teachings brought by the monks.

Ajanta caves have reliefs depict the life of Buddha and the reliefs are considered mark the beginning of classical Indian art. Inside the Caves there are many beautiful frescoes, so the cave looks like a museum. When the Buddhists began to migrate they abandon the Ajanta caves. The caves are forgotten until discovered by a group of British tiger hunters led by John Smith in 1819.

After discovery John Smith, massive restoration immediately began. As a result, Many European and Indian tourists come to Ajanta cave. The Cave then popular as a symbol and witness of the history of Buddhism in India.

Although it resembles a cave, but a large building which has many paintings and sculptures of Buddha image is actually a temple. Another charm of this cave is a human-shaped stone carvings and pillars that are very large, resembling a palace pillar. In the past, the entire beautiful works in this cave temples made only using a hammer and chisel.

All the carvings that tell the history of ancient India made by hand. yes, using traditional hammer and chisel, stones in the cave carved into a statue of Buddhist paintings and sculptures that so amazing. This place tells all about the ancient life of ancient India. engraved on the walls and painted in the cave.

In the past, Ancient Buddhist priests stopped to this quiet place during the rainy season, and because they have a lot of time during a the season, they use it to deepen their faith through pray, meditation, and discussion.
